Attracting Minorities to Geosciences Through Involved Digital Story Telling
Class Practicum

Work in class

After the field trip it was the time to get into action! The children were given the opportunity to explore their imagination and build their own stories on the any of the two topics - forest fire and permafrost which they studied so thoroughly in the field as well as in the class.

Digital story telling day

Twelve teams each with two children were assigned and they were encouraged to make a presentation on either of these two topics. The Joy teachers enthused the students to use the digital recording media to record the voice and synchronize their captured pictures and video with descriptions. On the gala day of final presentation, the children presented their individual digital stories.
