An annual cycle of the EDGE project has five components:
- Summer Workshop for Teachers (Two weeks: June)
- Fall Workshop for Students (One week: August)
- Online Course for Teachers (Fall semester: August to December)
- Science Symposium for Teachers and Students (One day: March)
- Southeast Regional Science Fair for Students (One day: March)
