This project is funded primarily by the National Aeronautics and Space Administrations' Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (NASA EPSCoR).

NASA EPSCoR establishes partnerships with government, higher education and industry that are designed to effect lasting improvements in a state's or region's research infrastructure, R&D capacity and hence, its national R&D competitiveness. This project belongs to the Research Cooperative Agreement Notice (Research CAN) component of the EPSCoR program, that funds projects addressing high-priority NASA research and technology development needs.

The performance period for this project (Agency Award #: NNX10AN02A) is August 1, 2010 through July 31, 2013.
