TSEB Model Adaptation |
TSEB fluxes can be directly validated using flux data from the ET field sites. As a proof-of-concept study, in summer 2009 we established a short-term ET field site and recorded measurements over a two week in the Imnavait Creek Catchment, within the Upper Kuparuk River watershed on the Arctic North Slope of Alaska.
Some unusual conditions associated with interior Alaskan settings (for ET modeling) potentially include frozen and seasonally thawing soils, the skewed solar diurnal pattern of the high latitude summer, and boreal vegetation. Adapting the model to accommodate these unique conditions is still underway.
